A leading building services contractor is delivering complex engineering solutions across some of the UK’s most prestigious commercial, residential, healthcare, education, data centre and infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth within the mission-critical sector, we are looking to appoint an experienced MEP Quality Assurance Manager to support the delivery of a major Data Centre project.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business and play a key role in driving quality assurance standards across a flagship project while working closely with operational teams, clients and senior leadership.

The Role

As MEP Quality Assurance Manager, you will take ownership of the quality function on a major Data Centre development. You will oversee project activities throughout the construction phase, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical and public health installations are delivered to the highest quality standards, fully compliant with specifications, drawings and industry regulations. You will work closely with site teams, engineers and subcontractors to implement robust QA processes, promote right-first-time delivery, and ensure consistent quality across all MEP installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all MEP quality assurance activities across a major Data Centre project
  • Develop, implement and maintain project-specific quality management systems and procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical and electrical installations
  • Review and sign off ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), check sheets and QA documentation
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, standards and client requirements
  • Manage snagging, defects identification and close-out processes
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to resolve quality issues
  • Drive a right-first-time culture across all site activities
  • Produce quality reports and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Support commissioning activities and handover documentation preparation
  • Promote continuous improvement in quality processes across the project and wider business

About You

  • Proven experience in a QA/QC or Quality Assurance Manager role within the construction or MEP sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and public health systems
  • Previous experience working on Data Centre projects is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of construction quality management systems and procedures
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications and installation standards
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence site teams and drive high-quality installation standards
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to delivering right-first-time outcomes
  • Ambitious with a desire to progress within a growing business
