An exceptional opportunity has arisen with one of the UK's most active residential real estate investor developers to appoint a Senior Director of Construction. This is a career-defining leadership role for an experienced construction executive who wants to shape the future of project delivery within a highly capitalised, growth-focused business.
The successful individual will take overall responsibility for a substantial portfolio of residential developments across the Build-to-Rent, student accommodation and living sectors. In addition to leading project delivery, they will play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling a new self-delivery construction capability, creating a platform that will act as Principal Contractor on selected schemes and provide greater control over cost, programme and quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a portfolio of complex, high-value residential developments from pre-construction through to completion.
- Establishing and operationalising an in-house self-delivery construction business, including governance, systems, procurement and team build-out.
- Driving commercial performance across multiple concurrent projects.
- Managing contractor and subcontractor procurement strategies and supply chain relationships.
- Providing construction leadership to investment, development and executive stakeholders.
- Building and developing a high-performing construction team capable of supporting significant future growth.
