Job Description
You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and supporting the implementation of processes for the legal team.
- Reviewing legal documents, including simple contracts, and conducting legal research under supervision.
- Contributing to the maintenance and updating of legal precedent documents.
- Supporting and delivering internal training sessions on legal processes.
- Reviewing contracts and managing the signing and e-signing process with relevant signatories.
- Managing the document archiving process for the legal team.
- Providing administrative support, including scanning, copying, note-taking, and handling calls and messages.
- Acting as an in-person point of contact for the legal team.
- Supporting the maintenance of the legal inbox and workflow processes.
- Contributing to sustainability initiatives, including identifying and managing carbon reduction opportunities during project delivery.
GDPR Portfolio:
- Providing data protection advice and support across global operations, with guidance from senior data protection team members.
- Responding to GDPR-related queries and escalating as appropriate.
- Reviewing UK data protection provisions in contracts, data processing agreements, and other documents under supervision.
- Managing GDPR requests from data subjects, such as DSARs and other data rights requests.
- Supporting incident and breach management processes, including investigation and reporting.
- Assisting with training delivery and conducting GDPR and data protection research.
- Supporting the communication and rollout of the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
- Assisting with regulatory registrations and certifications, acting as the initial point of contact with relevant authorities (under supervision).
- Managing DSARs, SARs, internal monitoring, audits, and reports, including updating internal registers and supporting the Data Compliance Assistant in these activities.
You’ll need to have:
- Strong skills in Excel, SharePoint, and Word, with the ability to use advanced functionality.
- Good understanding of legal requirements for contract signing, information security, and document storage.
- A law degree or relevant legal qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated skills and experience in legal research.
