Health and Safety Manager (Part-Time – 3 Days per Week)

Location: Farringdon, London (with travel to multiple project sites)

Overview

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a well-established and growing MEP contractor based in Farringdon, London. This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for a proactive Health and Safety professional who enjoys working across both office and site environments. The role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a genuine impact on company-wide safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with UK legislation.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance across multiple projects.
  • Support project teams with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
  • Deliver Health & Safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
  • Investigate and report on incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions.
  • Advise management on best practice and legislative updates.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all levels of the business.

About You

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement); further qualifications such as Diploma or IOSH/CMIOSH desirable.
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within MEP, construction, or engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable managing multiple sites.
