Health & Safety Manager – Data Centre Project
Location: London
Salary: £90,000 – £110,000/ Negotiable Day Rate CIS or Ltd
Contract: Permanent or Freelance
Project Duration: 36–48 months
Project Value: £220m
A leading building services contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK and Ireland is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team. Known for their work across critical infrastructure, commercial, and engineering-led developments, this organisation prides itself on quality, innovation, and a strong safety culture.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take the lead on a high-profile £200m data centre project. This is a senior, site-based role where you will be the principal H&S lead, supported by a team of advisors, and responsible for driving safety standards across the project.
The Role:
- Lead all health, safety, and wellbeing activities on a major data centre build.
- Manage and mentor site-based H&S advisors.
- Act as the key point of contact for safety leadership across the project team and supply chain.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Support the project through to completion, with the data centre scheduled to be operational by September.
About You:
- Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety role within construction.
- Tier 1 MEP or main contractor experience is highly desirable.
- Data centre project experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to start promptly to support the project timeline.
