A leading global real estate and construction consultancy is seeking an exceptional Head of Cost Management to lead and grow its UK cost management capability. This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially astute cost professional who can drive performance, develop teams, and strengthen client relationships across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of the cost management service line, setting strategy, driving operational excellence, and ensuring high-quality delivery across major programmes and projects. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in business growth, market positioning, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the UK Cost Management function
- Set and execute the business strategy for the service line
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share
- Build and maintain senior client relationships
- Oversee delivery across major projects and programmes
- Mentor and develop high-performing cost management teams
- Work collaboratively with project management, building surveying, and wider consultancy teams
- Support work winning, bids, and key account growth
About You
- Proven leadership experience within a cost consultancy or construction consultancy environment
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Track record of growing teams and winning work
- Deep expertise across pre- and post-contract cost management
- MRICS qualified (or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery credibility
