About the Company
We’re working with a well-established and growing fit-out and main contracting specialist in the commercial fit-out and refurbishment space. They operate across traditional contracting, turnkey fit-out solutions and small works projects, typically up to circa £10M in value; across London and the surrounding regions. The company reported a £65M turnover last year, reflecting sustained growth, and long-term client relationships.
The Role
As a Fit-Out Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of commercial fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. You’ll be responsible for managing programmes, budgets, quality and site teams, coordinating design and commercial teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll work closely with senior leadership while playing a key role in maintaining the business’s reputation for consistent, high-quality project delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day delivery of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
- Manage project programmes, subcontractors, site logistics and resourcing
- Coordinate with design teams, consultants and supply chain partners
- Ensure health & safety, quality and technical standards are consistently achieved
- Identify and resolve risks and issues early to maintain programme and performance
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and consultants
- Maintain commercial oversight including budgets, variations and reporting
- Support and mentor site teams, fostering a collaborative and solutions-focused culture
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial fit-out or refurbishment
- Experience working for a main contractor/fit-out contractor
- Strong technical understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- Confident, professional client-facing communicator
- Commercially astute with experience managing costs, variations and forecasts
- Organised, proactive and adaptable in live project environments
