About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fire Package Manager to join our client's team, supporting both corporate buildings and schools across Surrey. Based in Reigate, this role will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of passive and active fire protection systems, ensuring full compliance with fire safety regulations across the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Fire Protection Management: Lead and manage the delivery of fire safety compliance across the estate, driving continuous improvement.
- Technical Leadership: Act as the focal point for fire safety, implementing fire protection maintenance strategies and overseeing passive fire surveys.
- Fire Strategy Development: Develop and deliver estate-wide fire strategy including compartmentation surveys, fire stopping, and fire door inspections.
- Remedial Program Management: Plan and manage a large-scale fire door remedial program from scope and pricing through to completion and documentation handover.
- Compliance & Safety Oversight: Ensure all fire protection works meet current regulations and best practices, particularly in pre-2000 occupied sites, taking health and safety into full account.
- Supplier Management: Conduct site visits to supervise, inspect, and audit work undertaken by contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Record Keeping & Improvement Planning: Review and enhance existing fire compartmentation records and develop long-term strategies for passive fire safety improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing fire safety programs in a facilities, construction, or public sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems and fire safety legislation.
- Experience delivering fire compartmentation and fire door remedial programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and supplier coordination skills.
- Based in Surrey or surrounding counties (within ~1 hour commute of Reigate).
Additional Information
This role requires regular travel across sites in Surrey. Mileage will be reimbursed in line with company policy. Travel to and from the base site (Reigate) will not be reimbursed. This is a fixed-term opportunity with potential to convert into a permanent role depending on business needs.
