A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Building Services Manager to join their team on a prestigious, large-scale healthcare construction project in Central London. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the management and coordination of building services (MEP) from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring the project is delivered safely, compliantly, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the building services (mechanical, electrical and public health) delivery on a complex healthcare project.
- Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
- Work closely with design, commercial, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and drive buildability.
- Oversee services installation, testing, commissioning, and handover in line with healthcare regulations and HTMs.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Monitor programme, manage risk, and contribute to cost control relating to building services.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for all MEP-related matters.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Building Services Manager with a main contractor.
- Strong background in healthcare, laboratory, or complex technically demanding projects.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical services within a construction environment.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and healthcare-specific standards.
- Relevant construction or engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
