I’m representing a well-established medium-sized MEP contractor that is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer for a major £7.5m M&E data centre project.

The scheme involves transforming an existing building into a high-specification data centre — a fast-paced, technically demanding environment ideal for an engineer looking to advance their career.

Role Overview

As Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of all electrical services on the project. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing electrical installation works to meet programme and specification
• Reviewing drawings, technical submittals, and procurement schedules
• Supporting testing, commissioning, and QA processes
• Coordinating with mechanical teams, specialist subcontractors, and the client
• Ensuring all electrical works meet safety standards and regulatory compliance

What You’ll Need

• Experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within an MEP contracting environment
• Proven background in commercial, industrial, or data centre projects
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services and LV/HV systems
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
