Job Title: Health, Safety & Wellbeing Director Location: London
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Health, Safety & Wellbeing Director to join a leading building services contractor. As the head of the department, you will play a key role in driving the group’s health, safety, and wellbeing strategy, providing leadership to the team, and ensuring compliance across multiple projects and initiatives. You’ll lead a small team of 3 professionals and be the primary point of contact for both Health & Safety (H&S) and Wellbeing matters. Your responsibilities will include creating reports, including statistics, slides, training materials, and tool box talks, as well as overseeing the delivery of health and safety for specific projects when needed.
Lead the Health, Safety & Wellbeing department and ensure high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across the business.
Chair the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings bi-monthly and report to the Managing Director.
Oversee the creation of health and safety reports, presentations, training materials, and tool box talks.
Take ownership of health and safety for key projects while also driving the group-wide wellbeing agenda.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the main contractors’ H&S and wellbeing teams.
Represent the company at supply chain events and deliver training sessions.
Proven experience in a senior health and safety leadership role, ideally within a similar sector.
A strong understanding of health, safety, and wellbeing regulations, and the ability to influence and lead the business effectively.
A proactive leader who is comfortable working across multiple projects while also focusing on the overall wellbeing of the group.
Competitive salary between £100k – £120k, dependent on experience.
