A leading global construction and consultancy firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to deliver a major commercial new-build project in the City of London. The scheme includes a £40m mechanical package, with project completion scheduled for 2028.
The Senior Mechanical Project Manager will act as the mechanical lead on the project, reporting directly to the Project Director, and will hold full responsibility for the mechanical scope from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover.
Key Responsibilities- Lead mechanical programme planning across pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases
- Develop and manage logic-linked programmes, PPC plans, and weekly look-ahead schedules
- Coordinate mechanical supply chain partners and internal delivery teams
- Lead procurement strategy and manage mechanical subcontract and specialist packages
- Take ownership of project commercials, including cost control and P&L reporting
- Chair mechanical progress, programme, and commissioning meetings
- Oversee quality assurance, installation compliance, and mechanical commissioning strategy
- Ensure full technical coordination across mechanical design, installation, and commissioning activities
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Project Manager or Mechanical Project Lead delivering projects from pre-construction to handover
- Experience managing mechanical packages valued at £15m+, ideally with Tier 1 contractors
- Strong mechanical bias with solid MEP coordination experience
- Demonstrable ability to manage programme, commercials, and mechanical supply chain
- Holiday: 27 days + bank holidays
