We are seeking a proactive and highly organised IT Project Support – Planning professional to provide comprehensive support across a multi-disciplinary programme team on a 12 month contract basis. This role underpins the delivery of a complex digital and technology transformation, working closely with the digital & IT team. This position is central to ensuring programme coordination, planning discipline, governance, risk management, and effective communication across all workstreams. It is well suited to an individual experienced in structured project support within complex technology environments. Experience supporting carve-out or separation programmes is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Planning & Coordination
- Develop, maintain, and track integrated project and programme plans across all workstreams.
- Coordinate scheduling, milestones, dependencies, and critical-path activities.
- Support resource forecasting, capacity planning, and alignment with delivery priorities.
- Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Maintain and update RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
- Proactively follow up with workstream leads to ensure timely updates and actions.
- Monitor and escalate critical risks or blockers in line with governance processes.
- Governance & Reporting
- Prepare materials for governance forums, steering groups, and programme-level meetings.
- Monitor progress against deliverables and KPIs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Support the Programme Director with structure, compliance, documentation control, and decision tracking.
- Tracking & Data Management
- Collect, validate, and consolidate project data across workstreams.
- Ensure version control, document organisation, and the integrity of programme artefacts.
- Maintain collaboration tools and shared repositories.
- Internal Communications & Stakeholder Support
- Assist in preparing internal communications and programme updates.
- Coordinate between business, IT, and stakeholders to ensure smooth information flow.
- Provide general administrative and planning support to senior programme members.
- General Project & Operational Support
- Support workshop preparation, note-taking, actions tracking, and meeting logistics.
- Assist with procurement processes, onboarding, and project setup tasks.
- Ensure the programme maintains pace, discipline, and alignment throughout delivery.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a Project Support, Project Coordinator, PMO Analyst, or similar role within IT or digital transformation.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with experience managing multi-workstream plans.
- Solid understanding of RAID management, governance processes, and project controls.
- Excellent communication skills, able to support senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- High proficiency with planning and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Ability to work in hybrid environments, manage priorities, and operate with limited supervision.
- Experience supporting carve-out, separation, or M&A transition programmes is highly desirable.
- Availability for immediate start or within the next two weeks.
