Overview
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a well-established and growing MEP contractor based in Farringdon, London. This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for a proactive Health and Safety professional who enjoys working across both office and site environments. The role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a genuine impact on company-wide safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and review Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with UK legislation.
- Conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance across multiple projects.
- Support project teams with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
- Deliver Health & Safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
- Investigate and report on incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions.
- Advise management on best practice and legislative updates.
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all levels of the business.
About You
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement); further qualifications such as Diploma or IOSH/CMIOSH desirable.
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within MEP, construction, or engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage.
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable managing multiple sites.
