A Tier 1 Contractor delivering a major port infrastructure development at Immingham Port is seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor (Marine) to join the project team on a freelance, Outside IR35 basis. This is a long term opportunity on a high profile scheme, supporting the delivery of the marine and nearshore construction works. The successful candidate will report directly to the Lead NEC Supervisor and will play a key role in ensuring the works are carried out in line with NEC contract requirements and project quality standards.

Role Overview

The NEC Supervisor will oversee the marine and nearshore construction elements of the project. Key works include:

  • Marine piling operations
  • Dredging activities
  • Placement and installation of precast elements

Due to the nature of the works, proven marine or coastal construction experience is essential for this role.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an NEC Supervisor on major infrastructure projects
  • Marine construction experience is essential
  • NEC4 accreditation preferred, although NEC3 accreditation may be considered
  • Strong understanding of NEC contract compliance and quality assurance responsibilities
  • Experience supervising marine works such as piling, dredging or coastal structures
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the delivery team while maintaining the independence of the Supervisor role
