Location: Slough, Berkshire Project: Major Data Centre Development Contract: Permanent / Long-Term Opportunity Project Completion: Mid–Late 2027 The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a Tier 1 MEP Contractor on a major data centre project in Slough. The project is now moving out of the pre-construction phase and into full delivery, with completion scheduled for mid to late 2027. This is a high-profile, technically complex data centre development offering the opportunity to take ownership of a major MEP package through the delivery phase. You will be site-based on a full-time basis, reporting directly to the MEP Project Director and taking responsibility for the successful delivery of your respective mechanical or electrical package. Key Responsibilities * Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the allocated mechanical package * Manage packages valued at £15m+, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, quality and safety requirements. * Lead and manage subcontractors, specialist contractors, suppliers and project teams. * Coordinate MEP works with the wider construction team and other trades. * Develop and manage detailed project programmes and ensure key milestones are achieved. * Monitor project progress, costs, variations, procurement and commercial performance. * Manage technical submissions, design coordination, RFIs and engineering interfaces. * Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings and applicable standards. * Work closely with the MEP Project Director, construction teams, commercial teams and client representatives. * Identify and manage project risks, issues and opportunities. * Lead regular progress meetings and provide clear reporting on package performance. * Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental requirements. * Drive a collaborative approach to project delivery and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders. * Support commissioning, testing and handover activities through to successful project completion
