We are seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 joint venture delivering one of the UK’s most significant civil engineering programmes in the East Tilbury area. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a long term, complex infrastructure project with major earthworks, tunnelling preparation, structures, and heavy civils works. Early works are already underway, with extensive earthworks and enabling works forming the backbone of the programme ahead of future tunnelling operations commencing in 2028. The project will ultimately include large scale bridge construction, culverts, piling, and associated highway infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their career on a high profile, multi disciplined project with genuine long term progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day site engineering activities across earthworks and civil disciplines
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Support delivery of bulk earthworks, including volumes exceeding one million cubic metres
- Carry out setting out duties using GPS machine control and total station equipment
- Complete and maintain inspection test plans, permit systems, and quality assurance records
- Review and support preparation of method statements and risk assessments
- Ensure accurate record keeping, site documentation
