A leading UK main contractor is seeking an exceptional Regional MEP Lead to take overall responsibility for the mechanical, electrical, and public health delivery across a portfolio exceeding £1 billion in the life sciences sector. Based in Oxfordshire, this role offers an opportunity to shape the delivery of some of the most technically advanced projects in the UK construction market.
The Regional MEP Lead will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight across a suite of major projects within a growing regional framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all MEP functions across high-value life sciences projects within the region.
- Drive strategy, technical excellence, and consistency from pre-construction through commissioning.
- Oversee MEP design development, procurement, delivery, and quality assurance.
- Mentor and develop MEP project teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design partners, and key stakeholders.
- Promote sustainability, digital engineering, and modern methods of construction (MMC).
- Support continuous improvement, innovation, and business growth across the region.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced MEP professional with a proven background in leading major, technically complex projects — ideally within life sciences, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
Essential Requirements
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Track record of delivering projects over £100M+ in value.
- Senior leadership experience within a main contracting environment.
- Strong commercial and technical understanding of building services delivery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for innovation, collaboration, and sustainable design and construction.
