Major Data Centre Infrastructure | €100m+ project | 6–7 Months Remaining | Immediate Start Sometimes a project doesn’t need another person to simply manage the programme. It needs a leader who can come in, take ownership, protect the team and bring fresh energy to the final stages of delivery. I’m working with a major specialist contractor looking for an experienced Project Director to take the lead on a complex €150m energy infrastructure project supporting the Data Centre sector. The scheme is essentially the construction of a dedicated power station that, at peak, will supply four Data Centres, with engines and balance of plant forming the core of the project. The project is now moving into the commissioning phase, with approximately 6–7 months remaining, they need someone who can quickly get across the detail, provide clear direction and reinvigorate a team that has been working on the scheme for a considerable period. This is as much about leadership as it is technical delivery. They want someone who will put their arm around the team, protect them from unnecessary noise and pressure, and create an environment where people can focus on doing their jobs properly. With complex controls, regulations and commissioning requirements to navigate, you’ll need to be calm under pressure and comfortable making decisions when the answer isn’t always immediately clear. There is also a significant longer-term opportunity. The business has another potential project valued at circa £300m, and a strong performance here could put you in an excellent position to move directly onto that scheme. If you’re an experienced Project Director from a major M&E, energy/power, Data Centre or construction environment and enjoy taking control of complex projects at critical stages of delivery, this is a genuinely exciting opportunity to make an immediate impact. Immediate availability or a short notice period would be highly advantageous. The role is full-time on site in Dublin. If you do not live in Ireland/Dublin, expenses agreements can be discussed.
