A well-established mid-sized MEP Contractor is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to support the delivery of a large data centre project in Milton Keynes, with approximately one year remaining. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth coordination and flow of materials, equipment, and site operations, working closely with project, engineering, and commercial teams to maintain efficient site performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the project logistics strategy to support site operations
- Oversee the movement, delivery, and storage of all materials and plant across the site
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries
- Manage site access, deliveries, waste management, and traffic flow to maintain a safe and organised work environment
- Lead and supervise logistics operatives, ensuring compliance with site protocols
- Maintain accurate records for deliveries, stock levels, and logistics scheduling
- Support the project team with progress reporting, risk identification, and issue resolution
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety policies and site requirements
Salary & Package
Freelance: £300 – £350 per day CIS
Permanent: £60,000 – £70,000 + travel expenses + additional benefits
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on large construction or MEP projects
- Data centre experience highly desirable
- Strong understanding of deliveries, site coordination, and materials management in an M&E environment
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand project environment
- Strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Relevant tickets/certifications (e.g., CSCS, SSSTS) preferred
