A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to join their team on a prestigious, large-scale healthcare construction project in Central London. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the management and coordination of building services (MEP) from pre‑construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring the project is delivered safely, compliantly, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the building services (mechanical, electrical and public health) delivery on a complex healthcare project
- Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors and specialist suppliers
- Work closely with design, commercial, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and drive buildability
- Oversee services installation, testing, commissioning, and handover in line with healthcare regulations and HTMs
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Monitor programme, manage risk, and contribute to cost control relating to building services
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for all MEP‑related matters
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead MEP Project Manager with a main contractor
- Strong background in healthcare, laboratory, or complex technically demanding projects
- In‑depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical services within a construction environment
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and healthcare‑specific standards
- Relevant construction or engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
