Central London Established MEP Contractor An established and steadily growing MEP contractor is looking to strengthen its commercial team with the appointment of both an Assistant / Project-level MEP Quantity Surveyor and an MEP Quantity Surveyor. With turnover now exceeding £35m (up from £5m less than a decade ago), this business has built a strong reputation for delivery across commercial, data centre, residential, education and healthcare projects, typically ranging from £3m to £30m in value. Current projects include high-profile, technically challenging schemes. Assistant / Project Quantity Surveyor requirement
This role would suit an Assistant or early Project-level Quantity Surveyor looking to step up on a major scheme.
The Role:
- Acting as No.2 to a Lead Quantity Surveyor
- Working on a £20m mechanical package
- Flagship commercial office development in Central London
- Main contractor: Tier 1
- 12-year project duration
- Site-based role, required on site daily
Ideal Background:
- Experience supporting mechanical packages
- Comfortable working on large commercial projects
- Keen to learn and progress within a growing contractor environment
MEP Quantity Surveyor (Minimum 4-5 years experience)
This position offers autonomy, project ownership and exposure across mechanical, electrical and full MEP packages.
The Role:
- Managing 3 live projects concurrently
- Project values between £1m – £3m
- Mix of mechanical-only, electrical-only and full MEP packages
- Split between site and head office (Liverpool Street area)
- Hands-on commercial management
Key Responsibilities:
- Interim valuations and final accounts
- Variations and change control
- Managing subcontractor packages
- Commercial reporting and cost control
Requirements:
- Strong experience in valuations, variations and subcontractor management
- Confident operating independently across multiple projects
- MEP, mechanical or electrical background considered
