An industry-leading main contractor with an exceptional track record across Central London is seeking an experienced MEP Commercial Manager to join the delivery team on a flagship shell & core commercial development. With an MEP package valued at £35m and a long-standing partnership with the main contractor client, this is a standout opportunity to take full commercial ownership of a high-profile scheme at a pivotal stage.
The Project
You’ll be joining during the final two months of preconstruction, before leading commercial delivery through to project completion in August 2027. Reporting directly to an experienced Commercial Director, you’ll manage one other commercial team member within a strong, established Operations team. The project enjoys a trusted and collaborative relationship with the main contractor, creating a seamless environment for successful delivery.
The Role
As MEP Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Taking full commercial responsibility for a £35m MEP package on a major shell & core development.
- Leading a small commercial team and reporting directly to the Commercial Director.
- Overseeing procurement, contract management, and subcontractor performance.
- Managing forecasting, CVRs, cost control, and financial reporting through all project stages.
- Driving value engineering and commercial strategy across preconstruction, delivery, and completion.
- Maintaining close collaboration with the project team and client to ensure smooth delivery.
Key Requirements
- Proven commercial leadership experience within MEP contracting on large-scale or complex projects.
- Strong commercial acumen, cost management, and subcontractor negotiation skills.
- Track record of managing MEP packages on Tier 1 main contractor or major M&E projects.
- Ability to operate autonomously while working collaboratively within an integrated project team.
