An opportunity to take ownership of the final and arguably most important stage of fibre delivery – getting customers connected. I’m working with a growing fibre infrastructure contractor looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of customer connection projects across a busy and expanding programme of work. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply be tracking programmes from a distance. You’ll have genuine ownership of delivery, managing everything from tactical links and FTTP installations through to MDU connectivity and new site activations, ensuring each connection is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll sit at the centre of the operation, coordinating engineers, subcontractors, internal delivery teams and clients to keep projects moving. You’ll manage programmes, budgets, KPIs and compliance, while identifying issues early and finding solutions before they impact the customer. A major part of the position will be stakeholder management. You’ll build strong relationships with ISPs, network operators, developers and customers, becoming a trusted point of contact throughout the connection process and ensuring communication remains clear from initial planning through to successful activation. The ideal candidate will already understand fibre infrastructure and customer connections, with experience managing FTTP, MDU, tactical link or similar telecoms projects. You’ll need to be commercially aware, organised and comfortable taking responsibility for multiple live connections while maintaining a strong focus on the customer experience. For someone who enjoys being close to delivery and wants more ownership, this is an opportunity to join an ambitious business where the customer connections function will play an important role in its continued growth. Brush Up on Networking Protocols
