I'm working with a highly respected, employee-focused construction consultancy that's continuing to grow following a significant increase in secured work.

As a result, they're looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to strengthen their thriving Guildford team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative consultancy with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the education sector.

You'll work closely with academies, schools, colleges and universities, delivering refurbishment, extension and capital improvement schemes that have a lasting impact on local communities.

Unlike traditional Building Surveying roles, this position is predominantly project-focused, giving you the opportunity to lead schemes from inception through to completion while building long-term relationships with an established client base.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects across Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex, managing every stage of delivery from feasibility through to handover.

  • Contract Administration
  • Project Management
  • Design & Specification
  • Tendering and Procurement
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Site Inspections and Quality Assurance
  • Leading refurbishment and capital improvement projects

You'll become a trusted adviser to your clients, working alongside a multidisciplinary team in a consultancy that genuinely empowers its surveyors to take responsibility and develop their careers.

About You

You'll be a Senior Building Surveyor with a strong background in project delivery, ideally gained within a consultancy environment.

  • BSc in Building Surveying
  • MRICS/MCIOB
  • Contract Administration
  • Project Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preparing specifications and tender documentation
  • Managing refurbishment and capital projects
  • Building strong client relationships
  • Delivering projects from inception through to completion

Previous education sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

The consultancy is looking for someone with excellent technical ability, strong communication skills and the confidence to lead projects and build lasting client relationships.

If you're looking to join a consultancy that values collaboration, invests in its people and offers the opportunity to take ownership of high-profile projects across the South East, I'd be delighted to tell you more.
