A well-established main contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects across specialist sectors including Healthcare, Life Sciences, Commercial Offices, Defence, and Waste. They are seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major commercial project worth over £20mil in the city of London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of electrical installations and site activities
- Ensuring electrical works are delivered in line with programme requirements and project milestones
- Coordinating electrical subcontractors and managing site logistics within busy Central London environments
- Monitoring progress and driving productivity to achieve project deadlines
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and promoting a strong safety culture on site
- Ensuring quality standards are achieved and supporting testing, commissioning, and handover activities
- Liaising with the wider project team, including Project Managers, Building Services Managers, Engineers, Design Teams, and Client Representatives
- Reviewing and managing permits, RAMS, site reporting, and progress updates
- Identifying and resolving technical and construction issues relating to electrical installations
- Supporting project close-out and ensuring successful completion of all electrical packages
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager, Electrical Site Manager, or MEP Manager on major construction projects
- Strong electrical background, ideally from a trade, engineering, or project delivery route
- Experience delivering electrical packages on large-scale commercial, healthcare, life sciences, data centre, or similar technically complex projects
- Previous experience working on projects in Central London would be highly advantageous
- Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced construction environment
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities
