People Group is recruiting for Graduate and Assistant Construction Assurance Specialists to support a leading rail consultancy. They have won work on CP7 ASPRO frameworks in the Eastern regions. ASPRO requires construction assurance support to fulfil the requirements under NR/L2/CIV/095 Asset Protection and Optimisation Management of Third-Party Works on Network Rail Infrastructure, NR/L2/CIV/096 Asset Protection and Optimisation Management of Outside Party Works, NR/L2/RSE/CONM/001 Construction Management for Projects.
We have multiple roles available across Derby, London (Kings Cross and Stratford), Newcastle, Peterborough, and York.
Rate: £265 Inside IR35
Duration: 12 months
Start date: ASAP
Working Arrangements: 3 Day/Night/Weekend shifts based on-site/office
Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring construction activities for compliance.
- Support constructability reviews and audits.
- Help validate design risk assessments and interdisciplinary checks.
- Involved with managing NRSWA Projects.
- Review and approve Construction Phase Plans, Work Package Plans, and site‐specific risk assessments.
- Collate and submit documentation for review and acceptance.
- Support tracking and reporting of discrepancies between planned and actual work.
- Support AMP/EIS process for asset data exchange and maintenance.
- Help identify and report quality or performance issues.
- Contribute to lessons learned and best practice sharing.
- Support close out of non-conformances.
- Liaise with site teams and outside/third parties to support collaboration.
- Attend planning meetings.
- Maintain site diaries and contribute to assurance reports.
- Provide administrative and functional support to the Asset Protection Team.
- Assist in reporting engineering issues.
- Input into Construction Assurance Risk Management.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Network Rail standards and assurance principles.
- Proven exposure to construction or engineering environments.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Awareness of H&S legislation and procedures.
