We are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major rail infrastructure project based in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a high profile scheme, working closely with project teams, stakeholders and design partners to ensure successful project delivery from concept through to construction.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager within the rail sector
  • Previous experience delivering Network Rail projects
  • Experience working on Listed Buildings and heritage assets
  • Strong understanding of design management processes and project governance
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage stakeholder interfaces
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Able to commute to Bristol on a regular basis

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the design process throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure designs are delivered to programme, budget and quality requirements
  • Liaise with Network Rail, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders
  • Review and manage design deliverables and technical submissions
  • Identify and mitigate design related risks and opportunities
  • Support project teams during construction and delivery phases
