The People Group is looking to recruit a Temporary Works Lead from a main contractor background to work on HS2 for the Main joint Venture.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact between the Temporary Works designers and the site team.
- Analyse and forecast temporary works (TW) design resource requirements for the project.
- Develop, implement and monitor temporary works procedures.
- Review and approve the temporary work design brief to continue to meet site requirements.
- Implement performance monitoring, quality assurance, and ongoing reporting on TW design delivery.
- Chair design coordination meetings to ensure the efficient allocation of design resources and delivery of high-quality work.
- Drive competence and appointment assessments in line with SQEP and CDM requirements.
- Develop robust processes for risk management, ensuring the golden thread of risk mitigation is maintained throughout.
- Stay abreast of health and safety updates, integrating best practices into TW design and delivery.
To be successful in this position, weβre looking for someone who has:
- Shall preferably be a Chartered Engineer (preferably MICE), and have a relevant engineering degree (BSc/BEng or equivalent).
- Experience working within the rail sector in a Temporary Works Management role.
- Ability to manage teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
