Bring your main contracting experience into a growing business where your buying decisions will help deliver the infrastructure powering a rapidly developing industry. If you are an experienced Procurement Manager looking for broader exposure, greater influence and a fresh technical challenge, this is a compelling next move. You’ll join a business expanding its capabilities in critical power, with the opportunity to develop your expertise as the operation grows. The division delivers modular power solutions for data centres and critical infrastructure. You’ll take ownership of sourcing the equipment that brings those solutions together, from generators and transformers to switchgear, battery systems, UPS and cooling equipment. Your decisions will directly influence cost, quality and delivery. Working closely with commercial, engineering, production and project teams, you’ll negotiate supply agreements, build dependable supplier relationships and anticipate lead-time risks before they affect the programme. You’ll follow your procurement decisions through into production and see their impact on the finished solution. Who would this suit? You could already be a Procurement Manager or Procurement Lead within a construction or infrastructure main contractor, bringing strong negotiation skills, commercial judgement and an understanding of how procurement supports successful project delivery. Equally, you may come from a Quantity Surveying background and find procurement the most rewarding part of your role: interrogating quotations, negotiating terms, building supplier relationships and securing the right deal. If that is where your strengths and ambitions lie, this could be an excellent opportunity to specialise. Experience with M&E, power or technically complex packages would be valuable. You’ll need the confidence to work with technical teams, understand specifications and balance price with performance, compliance and delivery certainty. The career appeal is the breadth of exposure. Specialist equipment, close involvement with engineering and production, and the chance to contribute to a developing division within a rapidly growing contractor. It’s an opportunity to build on your existing commercial strengths while gaining valuable experience.
