An exceptional opportunity has arisen with a leading EPC contractor delivering some of the Middle East's most significant digital infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced Technical & Engineering Director to lead the engineering and technical delivery of hyperscale and large-scale colocation data centre developments across the MENA region. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving technical excellence, design integrity and multidisciplinary coordination across power, cooling, civil, structural and ICT systems from concept and FEED through to construction, commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across mission-critical data centre projects
- Own technical standards, design basis documentation and engineering governance
- Oversee HV/MV/LV power infrastructure, UPS, battery storage and standby generation systems
- Direct advanced cooling solutions including chilled water, air-cooled and liquid cooling technologies for high-density AI environments
- Manage civil, structural and building systems integration
- Lead ICT infrastructure, structured cabling and connectivity strategies
- Drive constructability reviews, technical risk management and design coordination
- Interface directly with hyperscale clients, consultants, OEMs and utility providers
- Support commissioning planning, testing strategies and technical handover processes
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience delivering mission-critical facilities or data centre projects
- Proven track record on hyperscale or large-scale colocation developments
- Strong expertise in data centre power architecture and critical cooling systems
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Familiarity with FEED/FEL project delivery methodologies
- Middle East experience preferred
- Knowledge of hyperscale client standards including AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta or Oracle is highly advantageous
