This role is responsible for daily preparation and journal booking of the treasury function for Treasury in the Finance department. You will work alongside/in conjunction with other team members and report to the Treasury Team Leader to develop the Treasury Team within Finance Department and to ensure all treasury duties are performed in a timely, accurate and safe manner.
What You'll be Doing
- Daily bank reconciliation & SAP booking of all payments, receivables, loans, discounting and any other cash movements independently based on proper supporting documents;
- Produce all company payment documents and bank notices in SAP;
- Payment check procedure: ensure compliant SSI records, correct bank details, no duplicate payments;
- Record daily FX transactions, update the FX sheet and produce payment documents accordingly;
- Record daily margin call movements and produce payment documents accordingly;
- Monitor inwards/outwards payments and receipts with banks, ensuring daily closing balances are in line with required policy;
- Monthly bank statement reconciliation and check of month-end SAP cash balance against bank statement. Investigate and report variances to line manager if errors occur;
- Conduct ad hoc monthly treasury analysis;
- Perform other/ad-hoc related duties as reasonably assigned;
- Back-up for the role of Treasury Officer;
- Quarterly SOX testing;
- Daily HQ bank loan report;
- Daily HQ margin call report;
- Monthly HQ margin call report;
- Bank account HQ opening and closing requests;
- TMS application;
- Handle payment issues with banks and counterparties and internal department queries;
- Other receivable procedures to follow up on non-receipt of freight and other receivables.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed
- Spoken and written Mandarin to native level, and fluent English;
- Degree level education or equivalent qualification;
- Accounting profession qualification desirable – e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA;
- Familiarity with SAP accounting systems (training will be provided) and Microsoft packages;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and under pressure at times;
- Good team player with keen attention to detail.
