Working hours: 8:30am-5:00pm (with 1 hour lunch break)

Location:Liverpool

  • have experience in international education, student exchanges, cultural programme management
  • are based near Liverpool or willing to relocate to Liverpool
  • are able to have regular business travel between UK and China

What You\’ll be Doing:

Programme Management & Delivery

  • Plan and deliver culturally enriching and logistically sound itineraries for student and leadership delegations.
  • Coordinate international travel logistics, accommodation, cultural activities, and hosting arrangements.
  • Work within set budgets and timelines while ensuring all programmes meet high standards of safety, education, and engagement.

Team Oversight & Leadership

  • Lead and manage the Chinese travel operations team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and standards.
  • Provide support, training, and performance oversight to team members in China.
  • Facilitate smooth communication between the UK and Chinese teams.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Maintain strong working relationships with partner schools, education authorities, and suppliers in China and the United Kingdom.
  • Support member schools in establishing and sustaining cross-border partnerships and exchange opportunities.
  • Coordinate with government bodies and educational institutions to align with cultural and regulatory expectations.

Operational Support

  • Prepare and manage programme documentation, including itineraries, risk assessments, and compliance materials.
  • Collect and analyse feedback to refine programme quality and respond to stakeholder needs.
  • Use internal systems to track activity, report progress, and maintain records of key contacts and programme outcomes.

The Skills You\’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated experience in travel, education, or international programme management.
  • Experience managing cross-border teams or operations, ideally with Chinese-based staff or partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Competence with digital tools including Microsoft 365, Zoom, WeChat, and Monday,com or similar project management platforms.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, especially between China and the UK.
  • Must be able to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in travel, international relations, education, or a related field.
  • Experience in international education, student exchanges, or cultural programme coordination.
  • Familiarity with UK and China safeguarding, risk assessment, and trip compliance procedures.
  • Previous experience working with Chinese government or education institutions is an advantage.
