Who you'll be working for: Our client, a major FTSE 100 business, who have fantastic offices in London and are looking for an HR Business Leader.
HR Business Leader – What You'll be Doing:
- This role is a broad and global HR Business Partner role where the individual works as a close partner to the General Counsel and the leadership team to deliver a broad change journey – shifting culture, ways of working, organisation, performance and taking the focus on talent to a new level.
- This role will sit on the LCCS (Legal, Compliance & Corporate Secretariat) Leadership Teams, and report to the Global Head of HR, Business Functions.
- They will work closely with the wider HR team based in the markets, Business Services and with the Centres of Excellence and People Services organisation.
Organisational effectiveness:
- Partner with LCCS to deliver on the opportunity to drive change that proves organisational effectiveness across culture, process, systems, structure and talent; using a broad range of data to inform strategies.
- Develop organisation design plans that drive the successful delivery of the business strategy, ensuring the business has the resources and capability required and also creating great career paths and fulfilling roles.
- Improve how the business channels resources, defines structure, jobs and work processes to motivate performance and deliver against the strategy.
- Proactively design, guide leaders through and implement change programmes that deliver Elevate Programme.
Leadership Development:
- Coach, challenge and provide constructive feedback to leaders to build their capability to lead their teams, develop talent, manage performance, support employee wellbeing, inclusion & belonging to shift culture and ignite change.
- Partner with the General Counsel and their LT to develop a tailored leadership effectiveness roadmap, building a high‑performing leadership team and teams within LCCS.
Talent Management:
- Develop talent strategy to enable the delivery of strategy and performance, both short and long‑term.
- Understand and identify the talent needs of the business, define action plans deploying global talent management strategies appropriately.
- Develop and retain a robust leadership pipeline and succession plans, which delivers against the diversity ambitions and fills/strengthens on the future capability gaps, using data to inform strategies.
- Ensure we create the environment & leadership capability to release the potential of our people to do their best work and fulfil their potential.
Performance & Culture:
- Build engagement strategies to embed business and cultural change, providing coaching to leaders to pull through the key outcomes into ways of working.
- Work with leaders to build high‑performing teams and drive growth in the business, ensuring we build belonging and an inclusive environment.
- Oversight of Employee Relations across the business area with an understanding of the relevant local and regulatory environment and working in close partnership with markets.
Reward:
- Partner with the business & Reward CoE / People Services to deliver strategic reward solutions and support operational C&D actions as needed for senior roles.
- Apply business acumen and sound judgement to deliver plans that enable and ensure total reward strategies support the attraction and retention of a high‑performing, diverse workforce whilst also remaining cost‑conscious.
HR Business Leader – The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Strong and well‑rounded HR leader with strong business partnering experience.
- Demonstrated track record in HR roles partnering senior executives and delivering in a global matrixed organization.
- Enjoys working in close partnership, communicates proactively and clearly, and acts with a sense of urgency to deliver both strategic and day‑to‑day priorities.
- HR expertise with a good mix of previous experience or exposure to broad HR discipline areas (i.e. talent & development, organisational development and/or reward).
- Strong HR business partnering roles with a strong focus on organisational effectiveness and talent, preferably in multiple geographies.
- Strong business acumen.
- Experience of leading and delivering organisational and cultural change.
- Ability to effectively coach and influence all levels of leaders & employees.
- High level of integrity, sound sense of judgement that engender trust and reliability; seasoned conflict management – able to hold the tension in pursuit of the best outcomes.
- Good analytical skills and evidence of use of data and metrics to drive process improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration is preferred or equivalent experience.
