What You'll be Doing:
The Junior Treasury Dealer works as a part of the Treasury team to price and execute liquidity, risk management and hedging activities of the bank within designated limits.
- Update the Treasury Nostro Balances and Daily positions report;
- Monitor the Treasury Limits utilisation, make applications for limit renewal and increases;
- Execution of FX, MM and IRS deals via dealing platforms – Recorded voice lines, Authorised brokers, Bloomberg and Reuters dealing - with subsequent MiFiD II reporting where appropriate;
- Prepare daily trades for discussion with senior Treasury colleagues;
- Enter deals in branch system for verification by more senior Treasury colleagues;
- Liaise and collaborate with Treasury Departments in Head Office and other overseas branches;
- Providing Branch and HO reports as and when required;
- To assist in monitoring credit, liquidity and maturity mismatch ratios and support Treasury Dealer in corrective actions to ensure compliance with these limits;
- Assist the Treasury Dealer and Head of Treasury in providing efficient execution and competitive pricing to the bank’s customers and internal departments;
- Ensure that business is conducted in accordance with all relevant external regulators and internal policies;
- Maintain and Update Treasury Counterparties KYC;
- Provide Head of Treasury data and reports for Asset and Liability Management;
- Other tasks as requested by your Line Manager and GM.
The Skills You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must;
- Self-initiative and a good team player;
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Ability to effectively prioritise work;
- A few years relevant experience;
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Maths, Economics, Statistics or relevant disciplines preferred.
