Office based Perm Start: ASAP
Reports to: Head of Finance and Accounting
To be successful in this role our client has said it is essential that candidates:
- are fluent in both Mandarin and English
- have UK Accounting experience in banking/finance
- are ACCA or ACA qualified or part qualified
What You'll be Doing:
- Operate the core system on a daily basis, including accounting entry input and other operations as required;
- Produce regular reports to Head Office and local regulatory authorities in an accurate and timely manner;
- Coordinate with external tax advisors in the preparation for tax returns and communication with HMRC and HO;
- Prepare daily management information report, monitor management and regulatory indicator as well as support the department to collate information for audit and taxation related matters;
- Take ownership of expenses, suspense account, cash management, complete and maintain financial statistics and collate information as required;
- Take ownership of reconciling Nostro account, Vostro account and security custodian account;
- Assist company fixed assets management, hedge accounting and other projects as required by the Head of Department;
- Make sure transaction records and/or data are filed in an accurate and timely manner;
- Coordinate with IT department on the digitalisation of financial reporting and system development;
- Assist in updating and optimising departmental processes and policies;
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- ACCA or ACA qualification (or part qualified) preferred
- Relevant experience in banking
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English
