Position: JAPANESE SPEAKING Relationship Manager – Financial Markets
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: ¥9,000,000–¥9,500,000 per year + ~10% bonus

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join a global financial research and analytics firm that supports strategic decision‑making for financial institutions and asset managers worldwide. This role focuses on building relationships and gathering insights from buy‑side clients in the Japanese market. You will leverage your financial market knowledge to support high‑quality research through direct engagement with key decision‑makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct interviews with analysts and executives from selected financial institutions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through face‑to‑face and phone interactions.
- Collect and input data into SalesForce through conversations and surveys.
- Contribute to research insights by combining relationship‑building with data collection.
- Support field research activities via primary or third‑party research initiatives.
- Develop and drive buy‑side marketing strategies in Japan.
- Enhance brand presence at industry events and associations, and explore media collaboration opportunities.
- Coordinate key accounts with global colleagues.
- Translate selected materials into Japanese as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Business‑level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1) and English.
- Professional experience in banking or the financial industry.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong project‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, persuasive, and able to manage time effectively.
- Persistent and detail‑oriented in research and analysis tasks.
- Deep understanding of financial markets (Preferred).
- Creative thinker with strong problem‑solving skills (Preferred).
- Experience collaborating effectively with a team (Preferred).
