Pivotal new appointment in a well-known Banking Group’s London Team for an experienced HR professional. The company is a diversified Banking organisation with a solid presence in the Asia-Pacific Region and a credible track record of success. The Bank is now emerging into the UK and European market with a clear business plan and strategy for growth, starting with its core business in wholesale banking.
What You'll be Doing:
- Implementing and maintaining policies and procedures that reflect best practice and comply with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Delivering support to the Head of Administration and HR and key stakeholders to ensure understanding of the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Assisting the Head of Administration and HR on recruitment and candidate selection activities.
- Ensuring the development and maintenance of an induction programme for new hires.
- Developing and implementing initiatives to promote employee engagement and manage conflict, discipline, and grievance resolution.
- Developing an annual learning and development plan.
- Managing remuneration and benefits to attract and retain employees.
- Managing relationships with benefits suppliers and employee relationships.
- Ensuring efficient delivery of the monthly payroll process compliant with legislation and HMRC regulations.
- Providing efficient service for centralized internal administration matters.
- Managing relationships with the Bank’s appointed facilities management provider.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Experience of developing and delivering people strategies in a multicultural environment.
- Sound grasp of employment law and rigorous approach to people management.
- A degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Extensive HR experience preferably in banking or financial institutions.
- CIPD qualification or qualified by experience.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Knowledge of SMFs and relevant training preferred.
- Strong Employment law knowledge or experience of Employee relationship management.
