Overview
In this role you will perform due diligence and credit analysis on new project finance deals, preparing investment proposals for the Branch Credit Committee. You will manage documentation and monitor credit risk for existing transactions, while supporting transaction closing activities and compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient transaction management and provide reporting to underpin investment decisions. The position sits in a global financial institution offering hybrid working in Central London with a focus on structured finance and risk control.
Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence and credit analysis on new project finance transactions and prepare investment proposals
- Manage documentation for project finance transactions
- Monitor performance and credit risk of existing project finance transactions
- Review borrower consent requests and provide recommendations for Branch Management and Oversaes Head Office
- Evaluate financial information and identify risks associated with lending opportunities
- Provide analysis and reporting to support structured finance activities and investment decisions
- Support middle-back team tasks such as KYC, funding requests, and drawdown activities
- Support Senior Manager with administrative tasks including record keeping and scheduling
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Branch to ensure efficient transaction management and compliance
Key requirements
- Previous experience in project finance transactions as part of front team or as a credit reviewer in credit risk management
- Experience in UK, Japanese or other European financial institutions preferred
- Proficient/Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
