Who you'll be working for:
Our client, a travel operator, is looking for an account executive to maintain good relationships with clients. The main duty of the role is selling/organising group packages and MICE products to clients and obtaining new clients.
What you'll be doing each day:
- Prepare action plans and identify specific targets
- Present and sell our services to current and potential clients
- Create travel plans in accordance with clients’ requirements
- Research the best options for hotels, where to visit and what/where to eat
- Take quotations for flights, entertainment and events, accommodation, meeting rooms, transfers
- Prepare presentations, proposals, quotations and sales contracts
- Follow up potential clients to receive the order
- Negotiate with suppliers to meet the clients’ needs for the tour
- Follow up for the collection of payment/making invoices
- Sales calls/visits to obtain new clients if needed
- Check contracts with our suppliers/clients
The skills you need to succeed:
- Ability to speak/write in English and Japanese at business level
- Prepare presentations using PowerPoint, Excel or Word
- Business trips might be required (both UK and abroad)
- Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English/Japanese (business level)
- Experience in the Travel industry, especially in Sales and Operations for a few years at least
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Ability to develop new business
- Good time management skills
- Persuasive
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Pay attention to small details
