What You'll be Doing Each Day: The Group Internal Financial Controller will be based in London office and will play a key role in the ongoing operational and strategic development of the business. This role is responsible for all aspects of corporate financial control, and management and external corporate reporting across multiple businesses under the Group Management Office. As a key member of the team, the post holder must ensure that the highest level of service is provided to the office.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of management accounts, business performance analysis, and other management information to support informed decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the development of budgets and financial forecasts, delivering actionable insights to drive financial performance and achieve strategic goals.
- Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost management strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce expenditures, and enhance financial sustainability.
- Corporate Finance Support: Support corporate finance activities, including fundraising, due diligence, deal structuring, and providing input into the preparation of business plans.
- Internal Controls: Enhance and maintain robust internal control frameworks to safeguard assets, ensure financial data accuracy, and mitigate operational risks.
- Compliance: Oversee tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance.
- Transformation Initiatives: Drive ongoing improvements in finance and business processes, including the implementation of new systems and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Executive Support: Support the Group Management office and other executives with advice on budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, enabling data-driven strategic decision-making.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bilingual in English and Chinese is a must.
- University degree holder with solid relevant experience.
- Solid and practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
- Detail oriented. Strong analytical skills to effectively and efficiently understand and analyse financial reports.
- In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Solid understanding of tax codes and regulations under different jurisdictions.
- Flexibility and adaptability. Can work independently with minimum management oversight.
Working hours: 09:00 to 18:00 with one-hour lunch break from Mondays to Fridays.
