People Dynamix Education are currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to work within a specialist school setting in the Wirral area. This role involves teaching students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), supporting both their academic progress and emotional development. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an educator who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to SEND learners
  • Support students with additional needs, including SEMH and behavioural challenges
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams and support staff
  • Support the development of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4, ideally within a SEND, SEMH or alternative provision setting
  • Strong behaviour management and adaptability
  • Understanding of safeguarding and SEND practices
  • Ability to support students with emotional and behavioural needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
