We are recruiting a passionate and confident Secondary Science Teacher to join a supportive all boys secondary school in M19, Manchester. This is a long-term temporary opportunity for a teacher who can deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 and support pupils to achieve strong outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Create a positive, well-managed learning environment
- Differentiating learning to meet a range of abilities and needs
- Assess, track and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff team
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
Candidate Requirements (Essential):
- QTS/QTLS (or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification)
- Recent experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Experience working within an all boys school environment
- Science specialism (Biology/Chemistry/Physics) to KS4
- Ability to start immediately
