We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented School Cleaner to join our team, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cleaner who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining high hygiene standards within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Emptying bins and replenishing consumables
- Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Operating cleaning machinery where required, including floor care equipment
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous cleaning experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience cleaning within a school, educational, healthcare, or commercial environment
- Experience using floor buffers, scrubber dryers, and floor polishing equipment
- Knowledge of floor maintenance and polishing techniques
- Understanding of COSHH and health & safety procedures
