We are currently recruiting an experienced Shunter to manage our busy yard operation in Warrington (WA4 6XE). This is a Temp to Perm, Monday to Friday position working closely with our warehouse team to ensure smooth and efficient trailer movements.
Working Hours & Breaks
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 20:00
- Breaks included: 1 hour lunch break, 30 minutes morning break, 30 minutes afternoon break
Pay Rates - £18.50ph
Key Responsibilities
- Shunting and moving trailers within the yard
- Positioning trailers into designated loading and unloading bays
- Conducting basic vehicle and trailer checks as required
- Maintaining a tidy and well-organised yard at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Shunter (essential)
- Valid licence relevant to shunting operations (as applicable)
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong awareness of health & safety within a yard environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work long shifts
