Trinity Laban's MA/MFA Dance Performance programme is seeking dance artists and collectives to lead a one-week period of Creative Workshops and Research & Development with our postgraduate cohort. This is a chance to develop your own artistic practice in a supportive environment while sharing your creative processes with emerging dance performers.

The offer:

  • One week of creative workshops/research and development time (R&D) in the studio at the Laban Building with a cohort of approximately 13 postgraduate students.
  • Costume/production support is not provided in this offer, and there is no output requirement at the end of this week, although artists may request an informal studio sharing on the final day with invited guests and students/faculty if appropriate.
  • Artists will be required to attend a meeting with the Programme Leader before the workshops and will be invited for a debriefing meeting afterwards (each approx 45 minutes, either in person or online).

Fee:

Successful artists/collectives will be reimbursed with a fee of £1000 for the week. This fee is inclusive of whether you apply as an individual or as part of a collective. We are unable to cover additional travel or accommodation costs.

  • An introduction to yourself and your practice – max 250 words or 2‐minute voice recording
  • A proposal telling us what you would like to explore with the group – max 250 words or 2‐minute voice recording
  • Any video materials/showreels that reflect your practice – max 5 minutes.
