About the role
Help create healthier communities. Join our Aboriginal Environmental Health Unit and contribute to initiatives that improve environmental health outcomes across the West Kimberley.
You’ll work with Aboriginal communities, local organisations and government agencies to support environmental health programs that improve community wellbeing.
Your role will include:
- Assisting with environmental health activities in Aboriginal communities.
- Supporting health education and awareness programs in schools and communities.
- Helping deliver programs such as dog health, clinical referrals, healthy homes and and mosquito management.
- Maintaining records and providing administrative support to the team.
This is a hands-on role that offers practical experience while making a positive difference in local communities.

About You
Essential:
- A passion for making a difference in the community
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to confidently speak with and engage both children and adult audiences in Aboriginal Communities;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, organise workload and meet deadlines
- Understanding and respect for local Aboriginal culture
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems.
