We are seeking an experienced Planner based in the east of England to join our Tier 1 construction client. The role focuses on high-profile, technically complex projects across multiple sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career within a talented, diverse, and supportive team.
The Planner plays a vital role in providing effective planning and programming services for pre-contract and project teams.
Responsibilities as a Planner:
- Manage and report on project progress, understanding key performance indicators, project controls, and metrics.
- Ensure full integration of design and procurement elements within programmes with construction activities.
- Produce integrated tender programmes, logistic plans, method statements, and present proposals at settlement meetings.
- Review programme effectiveness following changes, advise on delays, and manage risks.
- Support multiple projects, including live and tender projects, ensuring successful completion with minimal supervision.
- Guide and advise other Planners.
- Mentor trainee planners and provide planning support across the business.
Requirements for the role:
- Experience working on large-scale construction developments or multiple scheme projects in sectors such as Healthcare, Education, or Ministry of Justice.
- Confident communicator with experience liaising with diverse clients.
- Familiarity with common construction contracts like NEC 3 and performance measurement techniques such as Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Analysis, and KPIs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project management software.
- Ability to motivate teams and achieve high performance.
- Highly organized, capable of writing and monitoring project plans and schedules efficiently.
