Everyone has heard their family say the phrase, 'I'm not your taxi driver' at some point, but what does a taxi driver's job actually involve? Taxi drivers provide an essential service bringing holidaymakers to airports, children to school, shoppers back home and helping those with mobility problems get from A to B.
The successful applicant will be self‑employed and will be provided with a fully plated taxi for which all running expenses are paid by the company, including fuel and insurance. The driver will pay a weekly rental for the vehicle at a % of the amount they take in fares. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence for at least 1 year. Ideally you will hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire drivers Licence issued by Cornwall Council, however, for the right person we can help you with this. The process is simple and takes around 6 weeks. We are looking to recruit an additional driver to join our team. In addition this driver will have the option to take on school contract work from September, which will mean a few extra hours during school term times.
