About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and talented Senior Chef de Partie to join the brigade at our stunning fine dining restaurant in Carlisle. Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding modern cuisine while supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Michelin experience is advantageous but not essential-what matters most is your enthusiasm, commitment to excellence and passion for food. Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of kitchen sections, ensuring exceptional standards at all times
  • Prepare and produce dishes using fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Assist with menu development and implementation
  • Train, mentor and support junior chefs
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure effective stock control
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety
  • Supervise junior team members and ensure company standards are consistently met
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the smooth operation of the kitchen
  • Promote a positive, collaborative and professional working environment

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Rosette-level fine dining kitchen
  • Experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or strong Chef de Partie ready for the next step
  • Ability to confidently work across all kitchen sections
  • NVQ (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery or Food Preparation
  • Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certification is advantageous
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Positive attitude with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends and holiday cover
